The publication of Bryan Ferry’s Lyrics collection and the reunion of Roxy Music have been a wonderful surprise. Playing together for the first time in over a decade should be a more worthwhile reunion than many bands of their vintage. For all the exuberance in their songs, though, Roxy were never specifically about youth. They existed outside of their peers and their era, a band who would still sound fabulously alien if they arrived now.
