Not so long ago, being ourselves nine-to-five was impossible. As queer women, some career paths were closed off to us completely. We’d never be doctors, lawyers, astrophysicists. We’d never amount to anything.
But thanks to pioneering folks like tennis legend Billie Jean King and Sally Ride, a woman quite literally out of this world who went into space aged 32, I grew up believing I could do anything. Because those women knocked, fought and kicked the door down, I had a seat at the table.
