At 3.43pm, the lifeboat was tasked to assist the yacht which had grounded to the east of the Corran Ledge, within Oban Bay, with four people on board.
The lifeboat left the berth at 3.51pm and made the short trip across the bay, arriving three minutes later. The lifeboat’s XP-boat was deployed with two crew to check the yacht and those aboard.
