Park Primary P5s were at the laying of the stone. The Oban branch of the Royal British Legion Scotland will fix a plaque to the stone, donated by Aggregate Industries and lowered into place by MacQueen Brothers, inset.
A two-tonne memorial stone was laid in Oban’s Garden of Remembrance on Wednesday, ahead of Armistice Day on Sunday, November 11, exactly 100 years affer the end of the First World War.
