Happy New Year and welcome to the January issue of Parchment Craft. It’s at this time of the year that people make their resolutions; so, if yours is to set aside more time and be industrious with your parchment designs and make more cards, you’ll find an abundance of inspiration inside.
Previewed in the last issue and featuring over the page is a white work design by Julie Roces which I think you’ll fall in love with. Entitled ‘A Wisp of Lace’, it features two very carefully cut and fragile layers. The top section features a floral design and the base layer consists of a series of oval patterns.
Flowering in early January and showing the first signs of new life are the ever popular snowdrops. Evidence of this flower can be found in Linda Williams’ ‘Vase of Snowdrops’ card on page 14. Like the flower itself, Linda’s card is very delicate in appearance and it’s suitable for a winter birthday.
