A new collection of RAF-inspired works by artist, Tim O’Brien has been unveiled at the Royal Air Force Club, a private members club in Piccadilly, London to complement the refurbished dining room. The club decided to commission a series of 25 new works to hang alongside an existing painting of St. Clement Danes by Ken Howard, generously financed by the Levy family in memory of the late Flight Lieutenant Peter Levy, a long-standing club member. The collection comprises five themes: UK landmarks associated with the RAF; the RAF around the world; ceremonial duties; field catering in two World Wars; and a depiction of the flypast over London to commemorate the RAF centenary year.
