Vintage Rock  |  FEB/MAR 23

In our latest issue, to mark the 40th anniversary of his untimely passing, we round up some of Billy Fury’s contemporaries and biggest fans to pay a very special in-depth tribute to this icon of British rock’n’roll.

We also have must-read interviews with Carol Kaye and Jack Rabbit Slim’s Bob Butfoy who exclusively announces his band’s comeback plans as the frontman reveals how he’s battled back from recent health problems.

Elsewhere, we gaze into our crystal ball to check out what’s on the musical horizon for 2023 in Vintage Rock’s annual ‘Year Ahead’ feature. .. read more We also look at how Ed Sullivan’s TV show introduced many of the biggest names in 50s and 60s music to the American public and profile inimitable homegrown rockin’ hero Johnny Kidd.

Our classic album is Ruth Brown’s superb Rock & Roll and we also count down our 20 favourite one-hit wonders.  read less

Very entertaining

Ideal magazine for those who have an interest in the history of rock Reviewed martes, 12 de abril de 2022

Superb mag for real music fans

Thought the cover feature on The Beach Boys was really interesting. Went back to the roots of the band rather than just the usual features you see about Pet Sounds and Smile etc that are in other music mags. Brilliant magazine for real music lovers. Reviewed miércoles, 30 de noviembre de 2016

Superb features on a wide range of artists

Love this mag!! Features lots of my favourite artists from the 50s and 60s as well as up-to-date acts, too. Covers lots of artists from rock'n'roll, rockabilly, vintage soul and R&B. A great read. Reviewed miércoles, 30 de noviembre de 2016
