Vintage Rock Magazine

6 issues per year View Reviews   |   Write Review From £2.50 per issue Vintage Rock celebrates a time when music changed the world - 45s, youth culture and the odd thrusting pelvis. Spanning the dawn of the '50s and the seismic release of ‘Rock Around The Clock’ through to the early '60s and right up to the modern rockin' scene, Vintage Rock chronicles all the stellar artists and music, the enduring legacy of those early pioneers - and why it’s still the best way to live. This special magazine rejoices in the music and verve of the greats like Elvis, Buddy Holly, Chuck Berry, Gene Vincent, Eddie Cochran Little Richard and a host more, and speaks to a contemporary audience that relishes the vitality and flair of the era.

Vintage Rock  |  Oct/Nov 2020

In the latest issue of Vintage Rock we take a look at The Everly Brothers’ major label move that cemented their legacy as musical icons – and we also serve up our Top 20 favourite cuts by Phil and Don.

Elsewhere, we devote more than a bite-sized chunk to the voices of neo-rockabilly who helped to give our favourite music a new lease of life in the 80s. Robert Gordon, Levi Dexter, Restless and many more talk us through their memories of the scene with exclusive in-depth interviews.

After a troubling health scare, we’re glad to report that Marty Wilde is back in fighting-fit form and the singer joins us for a chat about his new album, Running Together, along with pop legend daughter Kim, who also appears on the record.

To celebrate what would have been his 90th birthday, we pay tribute to the Atlantic golden years of The Genius – the imperious Ray Charles – and we also catch up with another ground-breaking legend, Dion, who regales us with tales of Aretha, Dylan and Springsteen.

Bopflix founder Chris Magee talks to us about the internet’s most rockin’ channel and we serve up a packed reviews section that includes Stray Cats, Elvis, Chubby Checker, Carl Perkins, Jackie Wilson, Bill Haley and many more…

Superb mag for real music fans

Thought the cover feature on The Beach Boys was really interesting. Went back to the roots of the band rather than just the usual features you see about Pet Sounds and Smile etc that are in other music mags. Brilliant magazine for real music lovers. Reviewed 30 November 2016

Superb features on a wide range of artists

Love this mag!! Features lots of my favourite artists from the 50s and 60s as well as up-to-date acts, too. Covers lots of artists from rock'n'roll, rockabilly, vintage soul and R&B. A great read. Reviewed 30 November 2016
