Mansfield went 14 matches without a win up to October 23, just before their club record streak began. Why did it suddenly click for the team to win 12 out of 14 matches, including a League record eight in a row?
I think it was just a case of the things that had been going against us for two months, started going for us. There are so many different factors in football; injuries, suspensions, decisions on the pitch, a little bit of luck here and there. Everything that could go against us did before Christmas, but around the turn of the year a lot of those things have gone in our favour.
The latest transfer period seems to have gone particularly well for you…
Being in the situation we were [nudging the play-offs heading into January], it was very important to strengthen but
