It can be hard to get excited about budget audio interfaces. There are a lot of basic variations on the 2-in, 2-out formula, and while many of them are high quality and offer great value, it’s not an area of the market known for delivering ‘wow factor’. Given their pedigree though, Solid State Logic entering the ring was always going to turn heads.
This pair of simple interfaces promise to bring the lauded ‘SSL sound’ to entry-level users, and they punch well above their price point sonically. The specs are fairly standard for this price point, but the build quality is high and they look smart, with a slick design to match the pro sound.
