SUFFERING FROM MIGRAINES? TRY YOGA
The ancient practice has been linked with many wellbeing benefits, and now, research has found that yoga might have a surprising use in treating the severe headaches associated with migraines, too. In a randomised clinical trial, patients who were taking medication to treat their migraines were either asked to continue their usual treatment, or take part in an additional three-month yoga programme. The results showed that the patients who took part in the yoga showed a significant reduction in migraine frequency, intensity and the amount of pills they needed to take, compared to the control group.
