MICHELLE MONE
SURROUNDED BY LOVED ONES AND DOUG BARROWMAN MARRY IN A ROMANTIC CANDLELIT CEREMONY
INTERVIEW: SALLY MORGAN
Michelle looks radiant arriving at St German’s Cathedral on the Isle of Man to marry Doug, who proposed two years ago with a stunning diamond ring
It was fourth time lucky for Baroness Mone who, after postponing her wedding three times due to the Covid-19 pandemic, finally said “I do” to billionaire businessman Doug Barrowman in an emotional ceremony streamed live to family and friends all over the world.
“It was truly magical,” beams Michelle in an exclusive interview with hello!. “Doug and I had been engaged for two years and were keen to get married. We wanted a day of music, happiness and romance, and it turned out to be absolutely perfect.” Their dream wedding took just over a week to arrange after Doug, 55, suggested that they should exchange vows at the historic St German’s Cathedral near their home on the Isle of Man - home to 85,000 people, and one of the few places in the British Isles where there are no coronavirus restrictions.
On 28 November, their joyous extravaganza began with a moving ceremony, followed by a lavish wedding reception, live music and dancing with 100 friends who live on the island.
