Her novels cover gritty topics, but it’s their insight into everyday family life that makes them such a hit with readers – and Hollywood
Her books have been turned into some of the most popular TV adaptations of recent years and made Liane Moriarty into a household name.
But despite most of Hollywood clamouring to get their hands on anything the Australian author pens following the successes of Big Little Lies and Nine Perfect Strangers, Liane never considers how her stories will look on screen when she is creating them.
“When I’m writing my books, I never think of casting or an adaptation,” she tells hello! from Sydney, where she lives with her husband Adam and children George, 13, and Anna, 11. “People don’t believe me because they assume I’m writing with one eye on the cast, but I’m honestly not. I’m just writing the way I always have.
