Felt ‘helpless’ after woman tried to take Harper
A woman accused of stalking David Beckham has been given an indefinite restraining order after she attempted to collect his daughter Harper, 11, from school last year.
Sharon Bell, 58, of Watford, claimed to be the young girl’s mother, but was arrested. She has been detained under the Mental Health Act and legally banned from ever contacting any member of the Beckham family.
In a statement to court, David, 47, said: “I felt helpless and angry that there was nothing I could do. I was very concerned for Harper’s safety.”
It comes in the same week as the footballer announced he was creating a Netflix documentary series based on his life and career.
