There was a moment when Sheridan Smith was dressed as a particularly bedraggled version of her latest TV character that she laughed and thought to herself: “This is probably the most ridiculous I’ve ever looked in any job, ever.”
The surreal scene came during filming for comedy series Rosie Molloy Gives Up Everything, in which Sheridan plays the big-hearted title character, who is on a mission to combat her addictions – which range from smoking, alcohol and Terry’s Chocolate Oranges to Xanax, Adderall and caffeine.
