It was a night filled with vibrant song and dance, high emotion, sparkling wit, A-list glamour and countless costume changes in a celebration of the West End at which two young stars reigned supreme.
Jodie Comer and Paul Mescal, who have already conquered Hollywood and the small screen, secured the most coveted gongs at last week’s Olivier Awards for their West End debuts.
Killing Eve star Jodie was also one of the bestdressed celebrities at the ceremony at the Royal Albert Hall, in a sculptural Alexander McQueen gown with cascading ruffles and matching scarlet heels. Also striking on the green carpet were burlesque performer Dita Von Teese, channelling old-school glamour in a Jenny Packham dress with a crystal bodice and sequinned skirt, and singer Beverley Knight in a figure-hugging Atsuko Kudo latex gown.
