Venezuelan-American star Karen Hauer is a world champion professional dancer and has been lighting up the Strictly Come Dancing ballroom since 2012, making her the longest-running professional on the show.
On top of touring with fellow Strictly star Gorka Márquez in Firedance, this year she has been rehearsing for the Strictly Come Dancing: The Professionals UK tour, which is now on the road, while navigating married life after tying the knot with Jordan Wyn-Jones in a wedding exclusively covered by hello! last June.
Despite her hectic schedule, Karen, 41, remains so positive, which is why I was keen to have her on our podcast In a Good Place. In this episode, she talks to me about her diagnosis and battle with alopecia and panic attacks during a stressful time in her life, as well as how she has managed inspirationally to overcome her struggles.
