The career path of a fashion model doesn’t usually include farms, but that’s exactly where 35-year-old Arizona Muse finds herself.
Having fronted high-profile campaigns for brands such as Louis Vuitton, Chanel and Dior, the US model and mum of two – son Nikko, 15, and daughter Cy, five – is now committed to educating others about how their choices as consumers can affect the planet.
“I never feel better than when I’ve worked a day on a farm,” says Arizona, who founded the charity Dirt in 2021 to work directly with farmers to improve soil quality and increase biodiversity.
“The fashion and beauty industry, in which I worked for 13 years, needs to shift. It’s such a big industry and we need to find a way to make it less harmful.”
