IN THE DRIVER’S SEAT WHEN IT COMES TO STYLE

It was always going to be a big night for her fans, but Lady Gaga made sure the premiere of her new concert film was a bumper event.

The singer well and truly put her love of experimental fashion in top gear at the Los Angeles opening of Gaga Chromatica Ball, wearing a sculptural creation by Argentinian designer Selva Huygens (left).

Sharing images of the dress on Instagram, she told fans: “On the red carpet I told them it was a car part. They said what kind and I said I don’t know, I’m not a mechanic.”

She is, of course, a fashion icon and to prove it, Gaga, 38, had a surprise for those disappointed by her Met Gala no-show this year.

For the Q&A that followed the film (right), she changed into the Victorian-style Aziz dress, paired with a black Philip Treacy mask with poison ivy-inspired lace detailing, she would have worn for the event.

She also opened up about why she had chosen to make the film, which chronicles her performance at L A’s Dodger Stadium during her 2022 Chromatica Ball tour. “I felt like [it] was a time where I took myself to the next level and it was something worth documenting and seeing for people that I love,” she said.

And she has promised yet another gear change for her follow-up album, which she is currently working on, saying: “I love to break genre and I love to explore music.”

MAKES A PARIS MATCH OF 60TH CELEBRATIONS

Why have just one famous American Woman help you celebrate your birthday in Paris when you can have two? Delighted to Let Love Rule, Lenny Kravitz marked his 60th by partying with his former wife Lisa Bonet and their actress daughter Zoë Kravitz (together right).

A double celebration for the singer, Lenny’s starry gathering at the Hôtel de Crillon coincided with the release of his new album Blue Electric Light.

He was joined by famous friends and fans including comedian Chris Rock, model Naomi Campbell, rapper Yungblud and actress Salma Hayek, who shared a video from the “magical evening” on social media.

Part of what Lenny described on Instagram as “the most incredible birthday weekend”, the event comprised dinner and speeches.
