Presenter to return to radio DJ duties Zoe Ball has announced that she is to host a new show on BBC Radio 2. From May, the DJ will take over the 1-3pm slot every Saturday. Zoe’s new show will launch five months after she left Radio 2’s breakfast show “to focus on family”.
The station’s spring schedule also reveals that Zoe, 54, will host Elaine Paige: 60 Years in Showbusiness, a special concert honouring the musical-theatre legend.
Helen Thomas, head of Radio 2, said: “Zoe is one of the UK’s most loved presenters, so I’m thrilled to announce that she has a new home on Radio 2 on Saturday lunchtimes.”
