Personalisation is in, from lipsticks with bespoke fragrances to perfumes and soap. Plus, how to care for post-tweakment skin

Two fashion behemoths have officially claimed their places at the couture cosmetics table. Celine set the stage last year, and now Louis Vuitton follows with the debut of La Beauté, a collection as luxurious as it is covetable. Created in collaboration with the legendary make-up artist Dame Pat McGrath [above], the line launches with lipsticks, balms and eyeshadows – although calling them “lipsticks” doesn’t do them justice. Each piece is infused with a bespoke fragrance crafted by Vuitton’s master perfumer, Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud, and presented as a refillable objet d’art. Prices start at £120 for the LV Rouge lipsticks (1) and LV Baume lip balms (uklouisvuitton.com). Meanwhile, Rabanne makes its first foray into skincare with V.I.P. Glow Primer (2), £55, a three-in-one powerhouse that delivers an instant glow, lasting radiance and 24-hour make-up hold.
