Two days after the service at the Cenotaph, the Princess of Wales marked Armistice Day by leading the nation in remembrance at the National Memorial Arboretum.
Dressed in black and wearing two poppies, Kate paid her respects at a poignant service attended by veterans and bereaved families.
Arriving solo at the armed-forces memorial in Lichfield, Staffordshire, she was greeted by hundreds of well-wishers and stopped to chat and pose for photos with them on her way out.
