Monitor your slumber and make sure you are getting sufficient rest each night using your iPhone
The Apple Watch offers sleep monitoring and it is a great way to track your sleeping habits, but not everyone has one. For those that don’t, the iPhone offers a very simple and rough guide to the hours you spend in bed each night. Many people check their email, messages or social media updates right before they go to sleep. When they wake the next morning, checking for what’s new is one of the first tasks they do each day. The iPhone records when it was put down in the evening and again when it is first used the next day. It assumes you spent the intervening time in bed asleep. It is a rough way to measure sleep, but it is useful for those that don’t have a Watch.
