Share folders within iCloud Drive
Allow friends and colleagues to view and even edit the content of your cloud-stored folders
Although you have long been able to share files stored in iCloud Drive, only with iPadOS 13.4 have you been able to do the same with folders. It’s a much-awaited feature and, by ensuring your iPad is up-to-date, it is automatically enabled within the Files app, letting you select who can view or edit a folder, thereby making collaboration much easier.
The ability to share folders is also available in iOS 13.4, macOS Catalina 10.5.4 and iCloud for Windows 11.1. You can even share folders within iCloud.com via any web browser. We’re concentrating on the iPad, however, although the technique on the iPhone is much the same. In all cases, anyone you invite will need an Apple ID but they’ll be prompted to set one up if they haven’t already.
