Top 5 new features
We’ve already talked about these a lot over the previous two issues, but here is a quick rundown of the most significant new additions to iOS 15
1
SharePlay
A new feature that allows users to share experiences on FaceTime calls, such as listening to Apple Music together or watching a movie through Apple TV. Includes shared playback controls.
2 FaceTime Links
You can now create a link to a FaceTime call and share it through Messages, Mail, Calendar or other third-party apps. These links can also be opened through a web browser so non- Apple users can join in.
3 Shared with You
Content sent to you over Messages automatically appears in a new ‘Shared with You’ section in the corresponding app, so you can enjoy it when it is convenient to you.
4 Interactive globe
The Maps app boasts some significant improvements, like zooming out to a fullyinteractive globe, new driving features and much more information at your fingertips.
5 More Memories
The Photos app now lets you build your Memories to be more dynamic and engaging. You can add your own music, try out various Memory mixes and generally make them look epic!
Your new Notification Centre
The iOS 15 update brings a redesigned Notification Centre to your iPhone that is easier to digest and can deliver a personalised summary of non-urgent notifications at a time when you are free to process them.
Alternative scheduling
If you are unsure of how to add apps to your notification summary after the initial setup process, then you can do it by going to Settings>Notifications and tapping on a specific app. You will now see a new set of Notification Delivery options. From here, tap ‘Scheduled Summary’ to add the app.
