Create menu bar tools using Shortcuts
Add tools to the menu bar on the Mac by creating mini programs using the Shortcuts app
The right side of the Mac’s menu bar is for system icons like Wi-Fi, battery, date and clock. However, apps can also use this area to provide icons for quick access to tools.
The Shortcuts app enables you to create your own mini programs and you can make them accessible from the menu bar. Create a tool to save the contents of the clipboard as a note in the Notes app by following the stepby-step guide, then have a go at creating the Capitalise Text tool in the annotated screenshot. It capitalises text on the clipboard and there are several options. Use these two examples to create your own simple menu bar tools.
