Make your tracks explode with our Solo and Mute power tips
We help you uncover some of Logic Pro’s soloing secrets and muting mysteries to add some punch to your tracks
The concept of Logic’s Track Mute and Solo buttons is based around the same features you’d find on a real mixing desk – the Mute button removes a track from the mix and stops it sounding, while Solo removes everything other than that track from the mix, allowing you to hear what you’ve solo’d in isolation. However, there are several different ways to use these functions, such as soloing more than one track at once, toggling between solo’d and unsolo’d states or muting individual regions rather than a whole track. Luckily, Logic features a wealth of keyboard shortcuts and power user commands.
