It fels like the stabilisers are about to be taken off and there is eager anticipation of a new campaign for independence to be let loose across the nation. A new campaign for sure, this time one much more pushed by the grassroots rather than lead by politicians. There is plentiful debate about when the campaign should start, plentiful discussion about how and who we are all allowed to talk to… some of which creates interesting twitter scuffles. This is all healthy, if not all useful, we are gearing up, we are preparing our thoughts, our arguments, testing out our opinions and figuring out what roles we all can play in the coming months. As a nation, for or against independence, we are so much more politically engaged, so much more awake than before – and that for me is a major difference since 2014.
We all can play a part here. This time it is our referendum.
