NSBRC wins Employee Ownership accolade

The team behind the National Self Build & Renovation Centre (NSBRC) was highly commended in the Rising Star of the Year category at the UK Employee Ownership awards. The annual event celebrates all aspects of employee ownership across Britain. This accolade comes on the heels of the NSBRC’s Outstanding Achievement gong at the Build It Awards 2017. “It’s been a fantastic year all round, the busiest since 2008,” says Harvey Fremlin, NSBRC managing director. “We love what we do here.”

46% of British people have reduced their energy bills thanks to smart heating, new findings show. However, the research by Reichelt Elektronik concluded the majority of the participants do not plan to switch to the latest technology to warm up this winter. The top barriers cited were high installation costs and incompatible equipment. “The reasons preventing Britons from switching to smart heating show that there’s still education about these solutions needed,” says Thomas Kruse from Smart Home Technology.
