Bust quarters were minted under very difficult conditions, and certain dies were used that were cracked or damaged which created some very interesting examples. Bust quarter collectors actively seek these interesting specimens for their collections. One example is the 1818 B-9 that has a die crack on the reverse connecting the eagle’s wing to the rim. Some of the B-9 on the obverse shows clash marks in the form of arrow heads and the denomination above Liberty’s cap. This is one of our personal favorites.
