The EQ232D MKII is a boutique mastering EQ that you probably can’t afford. Thanks to Plugin Alliance’s collaboration with the manufacturer Bettermaker, however, you can at least now get your hands on a faithfully modelled plugin version of it for a fraction of the price. As well as the original combination of precise contemporary parametric filter designs with wonderfully musical Pultec-style shelves, Bettermaker EQ232D adds “two wide-ranging semi-parametric bell filters, a flexible high-pass filter, advanced mid-side processing, presets, A/B comparison options, and more”. It’s available for $299.
