IN 1983, FRANCOISE BARRE-SINOUSSI BECAME THE FIRST SCIENTIST TO IDENTIFY THE HIV VIRUS, AND IT CAME AT GREAT PERSONAL COST. THEN, WHEN SHE WAS AWARDED THE NOBEL PRIZE FOR MEDICINE IN 2008, VOICES FROM THE PAST DELIVERED A UNIQUE GIFT. INTERVIEW BY ANDREW CREAGH.
Francoise Barre-Sinoussi today: greatly admired for her continuing work in the field of HIV/AIDS.
