ExViking Strike 25

Ex Viking Strike 25 (Ex VS25) was conducted in Norway and included 1 and 3 Tps, with 45 Cdo Mortar Tp attached to Team 7. Ex VS25 consisted of a week of skills consolidation followed by a 72-hour exercise designed to enhance operational effectiveness in the High North. During this exercise we developed joint SOPs; this integration strengthened our coordination in supporting fire missions and manoeuvring across complex terrain. A key challenge was navigating difficult routes by day and night, where recovery techniques had to be applied to ensure our mission continued.
ASG navigating through the tundra
All troops participated in J6 training, developing understanding of new communication systems which will become critical for future battlefield connectivity. We rehearsed mortar hides to position and protect IDF assets. Team 7 delivered VIKING mortar line demonstrations, highlighting the unique capability ASG possesses in the VIKING mortar variant with its unrivalled ammunition capacity, speed and cross-country manoeuvrability.
