THIS IS A TIME OF YEAR WHEN more of us get a chance to be by the seaside. Whatever you enjoy doing at the beach, try to spend at least some of your time simply being. Mindfulness – the act of keeping your mind and attention on the sights, sounds and smells around you – gives your mind a break. Aim to increase your mindfulness in the coastal environment and really appreciate where you are. It’s a chance to switch off your phone and give yourself a mental break from work, family and life pressures.
