Some sites don’t have RSS feeds at all. It’s rare but true. In these cases you can usually generate a feed based on elements in a particular page using the feed generator at https:// createfeed. fivefilters. org. It’s fairly intuitive, but unless you pay for a subscription, your generated feeds are limited to five items.

Copyright is a funny old thing, and despite compulsory modules on media law that we were forced to take during our journalism qualification, we’re still not 100 per cent sure that we understand the implications of FreshRSS.
While it may seem like a good idea to turn off lazy loading of images, it isn’t. The FreshRSS web interface is loaded as a single static HTML page. If you have it set up to show the most recent 500 articles, all the images from all 500 posts will attempt to load simultaneously on refresh.
Often, choosing a CSS selector will result in unwelcome garbage cluttering up the page. This is usually the remnants of javascript that’s not being rendered by FreshRSS.

Copyright belongs to the person who created a work and remains with them until it’s assigned to some other entity. When this article was written, copyright belonged to the author. It was later assigned to Future Publishing for a financial consideration and, according to the terms of the contract, may not be published elsewhere without its consent.
