KDE Neon 2022.08
David Rutland finds that KDE is a delight to behold and regardless of whether it’s a ‘real’ distro, it’s a charming and relaxing place to be.
IN BRIEF
KDE Neon isn’t an official Ubuntu Flavour. Rather, it’s a KDE project with an Ubuntu core, with an emphasis on good looks and ease of use. Almost everything is extremely intuitive, and for the parts that may not be, there’s excellent and accessible offline documentation.
Neon isn’t a distro, we were told. It’s a mere repository for KDE software, they said. But KDE Neon feels like a distro to us, and the average user will immediately recognise it as such.
