Radeon Software vs. GeForce Experience
Battle of the, uh, utility software

ON A FUNDAMENTAL level, Nvidia’s GeForce Experience software and AMD’s Radeon Software (also known as Adrenalin) are exactly the same. Both offer device driver management and capture utility alongside specialized support for a variety of games. The dividing line, of course, is that Radeon Software is designed for use with AMD GPUs, while GeForce Experience is the app you need if you’re rocking an Nvidia card.
It’s not that simple, naturally. GeForce Experience has been around for a wee bit longer than Radeon Software, at least in its current incarnation, and it’s not unfair to say that AMD clearly copied Nvidia’s homework whenever Experience added a new feature. Both consistently recommend that you upgrade to the latest and most expensive GPU, for example....
This sort of software started life as simple driver update tools, designed to remove the need to manually track down the right drivers for your component on the manufacturer’s website. The premise was straightforward enough: The software identifies the relevant components active in the system, then locates and installs the appropriate drivers automatically.
