NEW JERSEY-BORN veteran singer-songwriter Janis Ian is on the phone, explaining why her new album The Light At The End Of The Line is going to be her very last.
“You know, I’m 70,” she says. “I’ll be 71 next year. I’m cramming three years’ worth of touring into one year to make up all the dates that Covid has cost me. I don’t like being on the merry-go-round you have to be on to be a huge success, in the eyes of the world anyway. It’s just become less important to me over the years.”
