I think that it’s safe to say that spring has finally sprung, and, with that in mind there’s a great selection of floral themed pieces inside this issue.
Over the page I’ve chosen a gorgeous depiction of four simple blooms; the flowers have been traced with a white pencil and the leaves with green ink, they are sandwiched between a grid work border and a heavily detailed centre piece which contains elements from the outer border.
I’ve also selected work which demonstrates how a pattern can be worked in two different ways; the first example of this can be found on page 6 where Dorothy Holness has used the base image to create a white worked card and a coloured topper. Gail Sydenham has used her pattern to create two sailboats and Christine Coleman has used the same rose pattern twice on the one card.
Besides the floral themed projects, there are many more exceptional designs, all of which are bound to whet your appetite.
