Patchwork and Quilting  |  April 2014
We have some inspiring projects for you this month, including Magic Garden, a simple quilt we made last year that showcases a large-scale print to great effect. Meadow is brought to us by Beth Studley, a new designer at Makower and is a lovely modern quilt. Chanteille Beauty shows you how to use a 60° ruler to great effect and how about making the cute Cockerel and Chicks appliqué wall hanging for Easter? It’s Quilting for Juniors this issue and we have designed a delightful Eggmugrug for young quilters to make.
We meet Janet Clare whose first fabric collection for Moda we featured last month on our Fabulous Fabric pages. We preview this month’s British Quilt and Stitch Village Show and review a quilt show with a difference that was held on The Tall Ship in Glasgow. Finally, Helen Conway introduces us to one of her Art Quilt Techniques when she shows us how to make and use freezer paper stencils.
