A full two-thirds of the new releases reviewed this month are games set in the Wild West. Now, you may argue that’s not very impressive in the light of the reviews section being cut way down this month, both to make way for our colossal Top 100 feature, and because… well, not a lot came out. I would respond that you are simply refusing to accept the evidence that we are living in the midst of a grand cowboy revival, our cooped-up, lockdown-addled brains yearning for the rolling plains of a simpler time. A time when men were men, women were women, and guns were less efficient but looked much cooler. You might reply that the strain of pulling together the Top 100 has irreversibly damaged my sense and reason. Too late: I’ve already put on a ten gallon hat and ridden away into the sunset. Yee-haw, dear reader. Yee-haw.
