I’ve recently started studying the Celtic Medicine Wheel.
If you don’t know what that is, it’s the tradition of moving through the seasons and seeing the stages of our life within them.
It’s a metaphor really, a way of understanding ourselves as connected to something bigger and on a journey that might not make immediate sense to us but still has a clear route and destination in mind.
The Celtic Medicine Wheel actually begins back at the Autumn Equinox, as the days shorten and we head into the darker part of the year. Rather than seeing this time of year as a slowing down or an ending, as we do in today’s society, it sees it as the start of something.
