Our Pro-Plan in this issue is another two-parter, as Chris Williams returns to RCM&E's free plan spot with another classic glider. This time he presents a fifth scale version of the ever-popular gull wing Minimoa. The wing plans are in the August issue, plus an A4 sheet of small parts. The fuselage and rest of the plan will be in the September issue. First of our regular columns is Tim Hooper's Bench Blog in which he builds a capacitor powered micro model - that's right, no battery, just a rechargeable capacitor! Next is Power Play, our engine feature, where Mark Wood runs his review sample of the SH GF-6 petrol engine, whilst in Scale Gliding Chris Williams looks at silencing a noisy aerotow tug and reports on a new scale glider from Keith Thomas, the FS 24 Phoenix. Finally, Alex Whittaker reports on a diverse selection of sport modelling topics in his ever-popular Weekenders column, taking a look at his new 'Magic Bus', single channel flying with a KK Outlaw and becoming the beneficiary of a much-loved McCoy stunt engine. On review is the Wasabi, a potent F3F glider from Aviatik Composites in Slovakia, which is given a thorough flying test by top French pilot Pierre Rondel. We also report on Dynam's new 70mm Electric Ducted Fan powered Hawker Hunter in stylish Swiss 'Tiger Stripe' markings. Feature articles this month include Alex Whittaker's walk around of Karl Mander's mighty 114-inch span DH103 Hornet, the lesser-known successor to the De Havilland Mosquito. Alex also chronicles past Ashbourne Scale Fly-in events, a popular fixture in the Peak District for scale modellers of all skill levels. Another 70mm EDF Hawker Hunter takes to the skies, this time an enlarged version of the Tony Nijhuis RCM&E free plan, which has been blown up by Cliff Whittaker. David Watson brings things to a close by describing his attempts at DIY 3D printing by making a ducted fan system for a popular pusher prop powered twin boom model, the Pushy Cat.
