Corruption was a suitably epic end for Retro Studios’ Prime trilogy.
As its title suggests, Corruption’s gameplay mechanics revolve around Samus becoming corrupted by the events that took place at the end of Metroid Prime: Echoes. This corruption comes in the form of the nifty ‘Hypermode’ that augments Samus’ powers at the expense of her health. It’s a clever spin on the risk vs reward mechanics of other games, and spurs you on to finish this excellent adventure, which is a strong improvement upon Echoes.
