Introduce yourself?
My name is Jim Felli, and I am a research scientist by profession, specializing in decision analysis and mathematical modeling. I live in Indianapolis, Indiana, with my wife, kids, three cats, and two Newfies. I got into gaming in 1977 when a friend recruited me into a local D&D game. Eventually, adulting took me away from my RPG groups and I started looking for another way to satisfy my gaming needs. I actually stumbled into board gaming while attempting to distil the elements I most loved about RPGs into a stand-alone, repeatable experience. That was Shadows of Malice. In that design, I opted for a minimalist approach to leave almost everything to the players’ imaginations. There are no races, no genders, no standard monsters… just a world and a set of rules. My other games include Zimby Mojo (coopportunistic cannibal mayhem), Bemused (muses battling through a diverse cast of virtuosos), Duhr: the Lesser Houses (brutal medieval shade throwing), and Cosmic Frog (god-like frogs stripping planetoids of resources).
