SPOTLIGHT ON...
‘LiterEight is a group (as you can probably guess) of eight writers,’ writes Fiona Atchison.
‘We are as they say, “ladies of a certain age” who initially met through Ayr Writers’ Club and are all award-winning and published authors in a variety of genres, but it wasn’t until the lure of e-publishing that we formed our offshoot group. Founder member Helena Sheridan arranged for novelist and playwright Catherine Czerkowska, an already accomplished online self-publisher, to run an informal workshop back in 2012. So began the first of what are, to date, three short story and poetry anthologies for adults: A Literary Confection, Dark Twists and New Horizons.
