The majority of queries I receive are along the lines of how to format text, manipulate graphics or work with ebooks, so it was a little strange to see a change in tack recently, with emails asking about presentation software which went along the lines of what alternatives are there to PowerPoint and how are they used.
It’s easy to forget that writers don’t sit hunched over a Remington in isolation somewhere whilst banging out their latest masterpiece. This month we look at different ways of presenting using various software applications.
Q Mostly I use Open Office for writing everything – its easy to use, virtually identical to Microsoft Office and totally free. Budget being what it is I try not to pay for software where possible. Have you heard of it and if so what could you tell me about it?
