Jaguar Enthusiast  |  Vol 30 No.3 The SS Airline Story
Doesn’t time fl y? March already
and so much is happening.
This month we have the
International Jaguar Spares
Day, the Essen Classic Car Show and,
in April the XF Seminar. We have
also just heard that there is to be an
X-type owners get-together at RAF
Cosford in Shropshire on Saturday
15th March. As editor I will be there
and will report back on the event
with pictures in the next magazine.
This brings me to a few comments I have
had recently. Firstly concerning the lack of
X-type material in the magazine and secondly,
not enough coverage of Jaguar specials
and replicas. Well, as I have said many times
before, this is your magazine, and it wouldn’t
survive without input from members. With
such a diversity of interests and models, I can’t
produce material myself to match everyone’s
needs. It’s the members who own all the diff erent models, have the experiences of buying, ownership, running, maintenance
and restoration; it’s the members who need
to pass on their experiences for the benefi t
of others. Just as a member may welcome an
article about a particular aspect of ownership,
that should prompt others to write of theirs.
