CHILLIES, LATE SOWINGS AND MIZUNA
Emma has made some late sowings in a greenhouse border (early October). So far, rows of spinach ‘Giant Winter’, mixed salad leaves, radish ‘Black Spanish Round’ and Chinese kale have been sown (right). A mild spell in the autumn weather made germination rapid so hopefully they will get a bit of a head start before it turns cold but they are going to be harvested while still young. She hopes to soon sow some coriander, red amaranth, pak choi and chard in the remaining space.
