TOP TIP

Packing the base of the container with compost not only helps stability but you can liberally water this, almost soaking it every two or three days. The permeable membrane will allow water to enter the tower and reach the lower tiers of lettuces. You can water via the top as well to keep the top rows of lettuce watered.
